Calvin Benjamin Lester Jr. is the eldest of two children born to Calvin B. Lester Sr. and Earnestine Lester of Shreveport, Louisiana. Calvin is the father of twins, Caleigh and Calvin III, who are enrolled at Southern University and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Calvin is a graduate of Southern University & A&M College (1993) and the Southern University Law Center (1996). Calvin served two four-year terms on the Shreveport City Council from 2002 until 2010. Calvin is member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, having served as the Basileus of the Rho Omega Chapter previously. Calvin’s faith is critical to his life and he serves as a Deacon at Mount Canaan Baptist Church in Shreveport.

Calvin is a college football fan enjoying cheering for his son at UAPB. He is a lover of Jazz and 90’s era R&B and Neo-Soul Music.
