Donald Ward is a Shreveport native. He graduated from Southwood High School and trained with Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) fire fighter program earning one and two and hazmat trained.

He has worked for 25 years in various customer services and has managed some of the top water facilities in the state, including government projects at Barksdale Air Force Base, Fort Polk, and Camp Minden.
